For over twenty years, Estúdio Colletivo de Design has been a force in the creative industry, building a legacy defined by innovative branding and stunning visuals. When I joined this vibrant team, I was inspired by Estúdio Colletivo’s strong heritage and eager to help evolve its approach to meet the demands of modern, digital-forward design.
The Evolution of a Design Process: Integrating Agility, Collaboration, and Client-Centric Approaches
Historically, design at Estúdio Colletivo closely followed the branding process, often with limited testing and client interaction until later stages. While this traditional approach produced striking work, it led to a time-intensive process, with projects taking an average of 6 months to complete. This was an opportunity to enhance efficiency without compromising on the creativity and quality that Estúdio Colletivo is known for.
With an agile mindset, I introduced weekly design sprints to involve clients in the process. By involving clients from the start, we fostered a collaborative dynamic that not only boosted trust but also ensured that projects stayed on track with a clear vision. This new process included dedicated time for research and user testing, essential steps to crafting designs that resonate in the digital space. The team embraced this structured yet flexible process, and with their combined expertise, our work became more impactful and responsive to client needs.
